Lolita Cosplay...?

I’ve been thinking about this seriously. lol. You see, many people think I’m a cosplayer which I think I’M NOT. I mean the term “COSPLAY” I think it’s more than dressing up, you have a character that you want to portray such as in anime, manga, or in games. Isn’t it more of “bringing a fictional character into life”? It’s not like I don’t like to be called one, it’s just that being called as a “COSPLAYER” is I think inappropriate for me. The point is I just dress MY OWN DESIGNS, THE WAY I WANT, and I’M NOT PORTRAYING anyone but MYSELF. What do you think?

Because of this, I thought maybe I should give cosplaying a shot. I’m not doing this to silence the issue on my mind but I just came to love this character very much too. Her personality and appearance surely reflects me. She’s Sunako Kirishiki from the anime Shiki.

This is my favorite dress of her. Angelic Pretty did a collaboration of this costume too and I hope I’ll be able to do one as pretty as theirs. Wish me luck :))

Sadako in 3D and DIY

I'm a fan of SID, a visual kei band that sang many anime theme songs (Full Metal Alchemist, Kuroshitsuji, Bleach, etc.). They will be releasing their newest single entitled "S" this May 9, yeah yeah yeah. So while looking for the preview, I found this! THE TRAILER OF SADAKO in 3D. F YEAH! The song will be used as a BGM in the movie and to be showing this May 12. I don't know what makes me more excited, the song or the movie. Well whatever! I'm so happy!

Aaahh, well off-topic, I've finished sewing my headdress and obi yesterday. Ah, I can't show you the finish product yet 'coz I want it to be a surprise when I already worn everything. Haha. Here's some photo that I took while making.

My 2011 is almost OVER :")

Hi blog! It’s been a while since I posted something. Are you lonely? Well, I’m quite busy. I’ve been going out a lot, doing some weird projects completely UNRELATED to my daily life, watching movies (made me broke), feeding myself, and CLEANING wew. Ah, I missed writing fictions and chatting with my online friendships. How are you guys? I miss you all!

Well, I’ve been productive these past few days and made some few accomplishments. Yeah, won some ART awards (hell, I’m an engineer? Ehehe.) which really made me happy. The clothes I made for some people also won on some contest (again, I’m an ELECTRONICS engineer, lol.) Aaaa-aaah~ I should really shift on fashion designing or some arts and crafts course.

Here I am staring at my computer looking for online lolita dresses. I really envy those people who could wear them with pride and ignoring the society’s cruelty to difference and individuality.

A while ago at my favorite noontime show, I saw a girl attempting a gothic lolita outfit. She’s wearing a black dress and a black headpiece (nothing really unusual) but the hosts noticed her out so easily. I’m not jealous with her but what I’m trying to say is if that simple get-up attempt catches too much attention, what more is the real lolita fashion? What kind of stares people would look at you? I asked my parents about their opinion and I had an expected answer. They both think that dressing up like that was nuts and just for show off. But I think dressing up is for your own self-satisfaction and not for social acceptance. Who cares about those other people’s damn opinion anyway? (well, at least I don’t).

Yeah, and because of that I feel so outcast today. I locked myself at our house doing projects and trying to keep myself busy. I want to see more cute things. I want to make over our whole house and transform it like a dollhouse but that’s not even possible for what I am now. I can’t afford the expenses. I wonder why even those tiny cute decorations have price like hell. What the heck they are made of?

Anyway, here’s my project for the day:

I have some trouble here 'cause I don't have any elastic nylons so I have to put locks to all of them (it's a pain!). I want to make them all colorful but I don't have enough beads that match each other either (at least I make 1).

I think I really have to shop for more materials.
